Research Interests

Solution coordination chemistry and chemical thermodynamics; design, synthesis and characterization of ligands and corresponding metal complexes aiming different applications as metal chelation therapy or anti-cancer agents; chemical equilibria and speciation of natural compounds (in particular metallophores): use of of solution thermodynamics data to access the role of metallophores on metal homeostasis mechanisms.
