The Faculty of Chemistry at the University of Bialystok is a dynamically developing academic center. It has a well-qualified research staff.
STUDY COMFORT
We are waiting for our students in a modern Campus in Białystok at Ciołkowskiego 1K Street.
We have a modern infrastructure with comfortable lecture rooms equipped with multimedia, computer rooms and laboratories adapted to the chemistry teaching needs. There are also richly equipped library and reading room, which are eagerly used by students, graduates and researchers.
Laboratories equipped with modern devices allow to master basic research methods in the field of polymer chemistry, bio- and macromolecular chemistry, chemical analysis, chemistry of organic compounds, criminalistics and forensic chemistry.
PREPARATION TO WORK
Studies at the Faculty of Chemistry will enable you to gain extensive chemical knowledge, with particular emphasis on the latest achievements of product quality assessment, analysis of physicochemical properties including technical and ecological parameters recommended by international institutions. You will learn the rules of working in the chemical laboratory, gain well-established knowledge in all areas of chemistry, and specialized knowledge in the selected area of chemistry, as well as the ability to solve scientific problems.
Graduates of the fields of study offered by the Faculty of Chemistry will be prepared to work in chemistry laboratories or start their own business.
Study programs were created in accordance with the requirements of the labor market, in terms of acquiring practical skills by our students, with the participation of the employers which collaborates with Faculty of Chemistry, including: Central Forensic Laboratory of the Police in Warsaw, Institute of Plant Protection in Białystok, Białystok Waterworks, etc.
In addition, students of the second degree of Chemistry will be able to choose a Didactic Module, that will provide them with the opportunity to work in primary and secondary schools.
INTERESTS DEVELOPMENT
Students can develop their interests in the Chemists Science Club. Thanks to such activity they exchange their experiences and have possibility to participate in nationwide schools, seminars and scientific symposia.
