The following techniques are used to assess the structure and properties of organic compounds and polymers: spectroscopic (NMR, MS, IR, Raman, UV-VIS-NIR, spectrofluorimetry), thermal (TGA, DSC), microscopic (TEM, SEM, AFM), chromatographic (MPLC, HPLC, Flash), turbidimetric (UV-VIS), nitrogen porosimetry, CHNS elemental analysis, XRD, DLS, and others.
The department's scientific interests also include intermolecular interactions investigated by thermal and spectroscopic techniques supported by computational methods.
